Join a class (students)

Students enroll in a class so assignments, the TA, and grades appear in the app.

Using a class code

1. Sign in to Coraltalk.
2. From home, click Join a class, or visit the join page from your teacher's link (/join).
3. Enter the class code — typically six alphanumeric characters (not case-sensitive).
4. On success you are enrolled and can open the class.

If you already enrolled, you will see a message that you are already in the class.

Join page flow (/join)

Some links open a guided flow:

1. Enter your name (if not already on your profile).
2. Enter the class code.
3. Optionally add a profile photo.
4. Redirect to Oral Learning or the class home.

Invalid or expired codes

Message	Meaning
Invalid class code	Code wrong or class does not exist
Class completed	Teacher closed the class; no new enrollments
Unauthorized	Sign in before entering the code

Ask your teacher for a fresh code or a new student link.

Paid or capacity-limited classes

Some classes require payment or have a student seat limit. After entering a valid code you may be redirected to checkout before access is granted. Complete payment with the account you want tied to submissions.

Canvas launch

Students opening Coraltalk from Canvas may be enrolled automatically into the class linked during LTI platform registration — no manual code required. See Canvas LTI.

After joining

Open the class from home and check:

• Oral Learning for assignments
• Chats for the TA
• Roleplay / Vid tickets if assigned

In the class sidebar, use Copy student link or view the class code in Class List / roster settings (display varies by plan).
